Imperial Construction meets the Government.

February 5, 2010

Imperial Construction joined senior members of the cabinet including Prime Minister Gordon Brown for the latest in a series of cabinet meetings to be held outside London.

The event which was attended by Andrew Hoare and Andrew Beer from Imperial Construction, was organised for local representatives to discuss issues with ministers.

The meeting was due to be held last month but was postponed due to snow.

Mr Brown flew to Devon from Northern Ireland, where a crucial political deal was being finalised.

The meeting in Exeter is the eighth cabinet conference to be held outside the capital.

The prime minister introduced the idea of holding the meetings outside Westminster in September 2008, when Birmingham hosted the first such regional gathering since 1921.
